I have been working as PT and S&C coach with Diamond Fitness since 2014, after being involved in high level programs for a number of years, and a lover of sport my whole life.
I started training with weights when I was 14, initially to lose weight and improve my performance on the sport field. As time progressed, I began to see both the physical and mental benefits of exercise.
After finishing school in 2009, and still unsure of what I wanted to do as a career, I chose to follow my passion and pursued a degree in Sport Science, Exercise and Health at the University of Western Australia.
Whilst at UWA, I studied in a variety of fields. These include anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology and rehabilitation, and sport psychology.
Also during my time at UWA, I undertook work experience at the West Australian Institute of Sport, the Western Force rugby franchise, and the West Coast Fever netball team. At the organisations, I worked closely with a variety of athletes, ranging from under 13 state athletes and junior development squad players, to Olympians and Wallabies.
After graduating, I completed his Certificate III/IV in personal training, and a level 1 Strength and Conditioning coach qualification, commencing work at Diamond Fitness in November.
